#FashionTech took place for the eighth time on July 4, 2018 at the Berlin power plant. It was opened by Anita Tillmann, founder and managing director of the Premium Group and organizer of #FASHIONTECH BERLIN, Michael Stracke, chief business development officer, and moderator and initiator Ole Tillmann under the motto #LISTEN! Robin Ardeshir, vice president of Europe at Plug and Play, joined the morning program, followed by James Hammersley, CEO and co-founder of Good Growth. Karl Wehner, managing director of Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Turkey and Eastern Europe at Alibaba, followed.

Timo Schwenzfeier from Messe Frankfurt, Martin Wild, chief innovation officer at MediaMarktSaturn, Tarek Müller, co-founder and managing director at About You, Florian Heinemann, founding partner at Project A Ventures, and Michael Kliger, managing director at mytheresa.com, took part in the afternoon program. So did Steve Lidbury, managing principal at Eight Inc., and Lukas Gant, head of digital at Alphatauri.

In personal talks Whitney Bromberg Hawkings of Flowerbx was asked by Icon editor-in-chief Inga Griese how she revolutionized the traditional flower business by founding her own company. Anita Tillmann led the dialog with Leyla Piedayesh of Lala Berlin about new ways of design thinking and the role of creativity in the digital environment.

It has been suggested that FashionTech will expand. The USA is on the agenda and a joint venture is under discussion. Specific details are not yet available.
