Japanese denim label Edwin has opened its first European store in London’s Shoreditch, where it rubs shoulders with the likes of Hostem, Carhartt and APC. Designed by Edwin’s in-house team, with a little help from artist Mark Amos, the store is rustic in feel, and has been developed to resemble an “old-school jeanery”. Pivotal elements include a floor to ceiling denim wall and timber flooring made exclusively of material sourced from salvaged scaffolding boards. Adding yet more character to the space, selection of vintage accessories from Japan and a smattering of historical garments complement the mainline collection on offer.
