US bag specialist Eastpak has launched its first seat collection “Built to resi(s)t” in collaboration with the Belgian furniture label Quinze & Milan. It encompasses two different styles: Quinze & Milan’s classic Primary Pouf 02 and Club Sofa 01. Both styles are robust, water- and weather-resistant and without legs. Additionally, the minimalist aesthetic is combined with functional details including pockets, zippers, handles and special upholstery so that the product offers an integrated space for books, glasses, iPods, headsets and remote controls. Both styles are solely available in limited editions and start at €500 each. The collection will be presented officially at Salone Internazionale del Mobile as part of Milan Design Week, April 14-19. Eastpak already has collaborated with several fashion designers including Walter Van Beirendonck, Eley Koshimoto and Raf Simons. This is the first time the brand has partnered with a furniture label. Established in 1976 the label’s portfolio now includes casual and travel bags, fashion, accessories and seats.
