Casa Dondup, the Italian jeanswear and fashion brand's flagship store of Milan, has recently hosted the presentation of the project “Master in Fashion Design” created by University Carlo Bo of Urbino (Italy) in collaboration with Dondup.
The course lasts one year and aims to educate, both in practice and theory, professionals who can operate in the fields of fashion design and styling. Thanks to the initiative, a group of seven students can design and produce a capsule collection under the supervision of Manuela Mariotti, creative director, Dondup, and the whole Arcadia staff. The 40-item women's capsule collection will be sold to consumers for S/S 2014 from the Casa Dondup store.
“This is an important project that we believe in and it gives us the opportunity to learn and use each others abilities with attention to craftsmanship and Made in Italy quality," commented Massimo Berloni, President and CEO, Arcadia, company owner of Dondup. “We think it is important for stimulating and seriously offering a work opportunity to young and passionate talents,” continues Berloni, adding that a second edition of the Master will start shortly and will involve approximately ten new students.
The event was participated by Stefano Pivato, dean of the Carlo Bo University of Urbino, Massimo Berloni, president and CEO, Arcadia, and Armando Valli, director of the project and dean of the Sociology course of the Urbino University.
