Thanks to the support of Diesel, the Italian city of Trieste will keep its International Talent Support ITS competition, which was expected to be downsized and relocated to another city. Trieste will now host the ninth edition of the fashion event in July.

Since the first ITS contest in 2002, Diesel, together with Eve, have been responsible for discovering new and upcoming designers and offering working opportunities for young designers to enter the fashion world. Over the years, talents from the most renowned fashion schools all over the world have participated in ITS, from Central St. Martins College and The Royal College of Art in London to the Institut Français de la Mode in Paris and The Royal Academy of Art in Antwerp. Most today are working in some of the world’s most prestigious fashion houses.

This year, ITS will be based on the theme of “A Confederation of Fantastic Voyagers.” The fashion journey will kick off on Friday, July 16 and conclude the following day with an award ceremony for winners of the three categories ITS#FASHION, ITS#ACCESSORIES and ITS#PHOTO.

Accordingly, Diesel and its Fashion Award will grant a cash prize of €25,000 and a six-month internship with its creative team at its headquarters in Italy, offering the winner the opportunity to work at an innovative and international fashion house with a cosmopolitan group of over 40 designers. Bruno Collin, recently appointed artistic director of Diesel, and the design duo of Viktor & Rolf will be part of this year’s fashion jury.
