The sixth edition of the trade show Denim by Première Vision, which will be held for the first time at the Halle Freyssinet in Paris from June 2-3, has broadened its offer to target new market segments.

According to show organizers, with its new space, the show will be able to gather all the players in the denim sector under one roof. To create the ultimate platform for leading fiber producers, weavers, manufacturing/finishing and dyeing specialists, launderers as well as accessory manufacturers, Denim by PV is gathering some of the world’s top players in denim to exhibit at the next edition of the show. Among the new exhibitors are Arvind from India and Eco Yaa from South Korea. So far, 68 exhibitors from 17 countries have confirmed their participation.

At the end of the first day of the show, the winner of the Future Denim Designers Award also will be announced. For this project, supported by designer Adriano Goldschmied, students from London’s Central Saint Martins were tasked with creating the look of jeans in the future. The designs and garments of the six finalists will also be displayed during the two days of the show in an area specially designed by the students of Central Saint Martins.

The last edition of Denim by PV which took place in December 2009, drew 1,700 visitors, or 18.5% more attendees over the prior year. For its sixth edition, the trade show will leave the Docks de Paris Saint-Denis, where it has been held since its inception. At its new location, Halle Freyssinet, Denim by PV will take over a 7,000-sq.-meter space and will be one of the very first trade shows to be held in the industrial building.
