During Paris Press Days, the italian outerwear and sportswear company Colmar showed its fully offer for the next winter season AW 2017-18 in their showroom in the second arrondissement. The brand underlines there its slanting direction towards a more fashionable statement.
The offer is divided into five categories: ski, golf, Colmar Originals, lifestyle with leather biker jackets and the fashionable capsule collection in collaboration with the italian label "Au Jour le Jour".
The most striking novelty is, of course, the cooperation with the Italian label "Au Jour le Jour", where Colmar is taking the first steps towards a very fashionable streetwear market. The capsule reinterprets the Colmar heritage in coats of arms, embroidered patches, oversized logos and motif sweaters inspired from old advertising campaigns of the 80s and 90s. Au Jour le Jour designers Mirko Fontana and Diego Marquez: „We started from the fundamental elements of this company, which made the history of outerwear. Like the jacket used by the Italian Ski Federation led by Alberto Tomba, revides with modern and redesigned patches.“ The collection is part of the collaboration with the Italian Vogue, which selected young talents for Colmar under the title" future generations". The capsule is about 20% above the normal price range of the brand.
There are also new products at Colmar Originals: Under the inspiration of the everyday life of people in metropolises, which are always connected and strongly technology-interested, classic Colmar jackets are reinterpreted. For men, two models of bombers are proposed in a satin fabric with down padding and two pieces in padded microfiber in double-breasted coat and parka versions. For women, a bomber and jacket in a shiny internally laminated strech fabric and - completely new - is a proposal in "crushed origami" effect fabric on a bomber model. This fabric will keep its optical effect even after cleaning.
For the ski collection: Colmar has now transferred its new teflon and graphite fabric novelties, developed for the French national ski team, to its commercial ski collection. The new technology called G+graphene, recognizable by a small G-sign or by a honeycomb-coated fodder, has been applied, for example, to the cult model Guaina Zeno, inspired by the historical jacket for the famous skier Zeno Colò, offering extreme water protection and thanks to the membrane an improved conduction of heat. 90% of the entire ski collection is now also equipped with Teflon Eco-Elite, which offers an ecological and long-lasting waterproof protection. New is also an outdoor section with multifunctional pieces to wear on different sports and can be combined with the ski shells.
