The Benetton Group will split up its management in three in order to dedicate more energy to brands and product. Meanwhile the Benetton family seems to be ready to give a carte blanche to a new CEO who will be in charge for an overall relaunch of the group.

This is what emerges from the Italian newspaper La Repubblica, Alessandro Benetton, who has worked in the group since 2003 and held an operating position since 2007, was named president in 2011, now intends to appoint an external manager independent of the family and split the company into three divisions - real estate and retail, industry and factories, and brands and design. This is a project devised by Boston Consulting Group. The plan is likely to have already been approved by top-level hierarchies and should be presented during the next group assembly on 28 November.
