The British investor Change Capital Partners LLP has sold Hallhuber to Gerry Weber International AG. The German fashion company takes over 100 percent of the shares. Further details and the amount of the transaction are not being announced.
Change Capital has acquired Hallhuber in 2009 from Italian fashion company Stefanel and has built up and forced the brand expansion in Europe since then. From under 100 stores in 2008, Hallhuber has now opened a total of 219 stores in Germany, Austria, Belgium, UK, The Netherlands and Switzerland. Sales in 2013 amounted to 109 million euros.
According to Gerry Weber the acquisition of Hallhuber is a good chance to step into a younger womenswear segment.
