Melody Harris-Jensbach will step back from her position as chief product and design officer at fashion enterprise Esprit, effective October 31, 2013. Harris-Jensbach will however remain working closely with the Group’s CEO as a strategic consultant for several key projects throughout 2014, the company has told.

A corporate spokesperson said that the management board regrets Harris-Jensbach’s decision but that they can understand her desire to follow new challenges at corporate / management level outside the company.

Harris-Jensbach was responsible for Esprit’s creative direction and product segment since January 2012. No decisions on her succession have been reported yet, but according to a corporate statement, negotiations are in good progress and the company expects to make an announcement shortly.
