For the first time the four fashion fairs in Copenhagen – CIFF, CPH Vision, Terminal-2 and Gallery – will team up with the trade association Dansk Mode & Textil to grow Copenhagen Fashion Week.

One of the first decisions resulting from the new partnership is to bring forward Copenhagen Fashion Week in February by a week, now rescheduled from week 6 to week 5 of 2011. The autumn fair will follow accordingly, taking place during week 31 instead of week 32.

"The Scandinavian brands in particular have long wanted an earlier start and we are now very proud – on behalf of the industry and thanks to the new partnership – to be able to meet their wishes,” said Peter Fenger Selchau, CEO of CPH Vision & Terminal-2.

Show organizers will be responsible for general commercial activities during fashion week, including advertising, web presence, liaison with buyers, travel and accommodation services, shuttle services, and joint ticket services for all fairs. The partnership will also see the addition of a fashion week stand at Copenhagen Airport and, for the first time ever, a shuttle service for press and buyers between all the fairs. Organizers hope to strengthen Copenhagen’s reputation as a fashion destination as Berlin Fashion Week grows in popularity.
