BPMW, the hip New York-based branding consultancy and creator of the (capsule) New York and Paris shows, will host the second edition of Compass, the shoe show, on Feb. 12-13 at the Alexis Park Hotel in Las Vegas.

Best known for its tightly-edited range of directional footwear rooted in progressive sport-street culture, the show is adding a new designer section of brands including Florsheim by Duckie Brown, Red Brick Sole, Cole Rood Haan, Rachel Comey, Heutchy, Zuriick and Grenson. Rounding out the “athleisure” category will be brands such as Clae, Gourmet, Sperry, New Balance, PF Flyers and Converse.

Other participants this season include 100 Styles & Running, Alife, Clarks Originals, Cre8tive Recreation, GNRC Surplus, J Shoes, Keep, Red Wing, Supra NS, S***r and Timberland Boot Co.

Compass was launched in Aug. 2008 to address the growing progressive footwear segment. The two-day Feb. 2009 showcase will continue to go head to head with WSA, which runs Feb. 12-14. BPMW is scheduled to launch its first edition of (capsule) Las Vegas on Feb. 18-19 at the Hard Rock Hotel.
