The International trade fair for emerging designers, Capsule, will launch its first-ever trade show in Berlin this summer. The show will take place July 7-8, 2011, simultaneously to Bread & butter and Berlin Fashion Week, in Berlin’s former mint building, Alte Münze, and will showcase s/s 2012 collections from an international assemblage of 60 of the market’s hottest brands. According to organizer BPMW, over 2,000 retailers and fashion editors are expected to attend the debut edition of the show. Regarding logistics, marketing, sales and retailer relations, Capsule has partnered with Black Lodges, the Hamburg-based independent creative agency founded by Nina and Steven Vogel.

“BPMW is launching (capsule) Berlin in response to an overwhelming demand from the (capsule) community,” says Deirdre Maloney, co-founder of BPMW. “We know (capsule)’s brand assortment, coupled with our inimitable vibe and top-tier traffic will continue to be a breath of fresh air during Berlin market week.”

The Capsule show was launched in 2007 by NY-based agency BPMW and currently takes place 10 times a year in New York, Paris and Las Vegas.
