After extensive renovations, C&A now presents its first German flagship store with a complete new look. At the re-opening on September 26, customer can look forward to a unique experience with coordinated and clear product themes.
The Düsseldorf branch re-opening kicks off further store openings in Paris and Madrid over the next two months. The remodelled storefront looks impressive and has an upgraded façade featuring an eight-meter LED logo and an expanded store window. The creative window concept was designed by Amsterdam born artist Christian Borstlap and consists of two large LED screens which play unique graphics.
The store interior is based around a modern retail concept with innovative product presentation over 10,000 sqm. The open, accessible layout of the store, wide aisles and spacious fitting rooms, make for an enjoyable shopping experience. The design concept consist everyday objects, set in unusual contexts such as a “tram car” at the store entrance, and lampshades assembled from handbags, hats or Lego bricks. Other examples include bicycles and rows of chairs made from chrome and wood, which serve as shop-fittings.
Eva Ziegler, Director Brand & Marketing Europe: “Our brand and store concept is inspired by daily life, where the ordinary becomes the extraordinary. C&A is one of the first brands to have democratized fashion – founded in 1841 with an innovative concept.”
The store design was created by in-house designers. Inside the store, customers can find modern styles for every occasion, from timeless, quality basics to the latest trend collections on four floors. The modern ambience in the “Clockhouse” world, created for young consumers, is rounded off by a perfectly coordinated light, music and video concept.
For the first time in Germany, C&A is presenting its Click & Collect lounge in the Düsseldorf flagship store. In an integrated lounge area, customers can order and pick up the entire C&A online product assortment directly in-store.
