Dr. Bruno Sälzer, currently CEO of Escada and former CEO of Hugo Boss, will switch jobs and join urban fashion brand Bench as CEO and chairman by December 1, 2014, at the latest. Moreover, Sälzer will buy a 15% share in Emeram Urbanics Holding Ltd., which took over Bench in February 2014.

About his new investment, Sälzer said: “This exciting brand speaks to a target group which becomes more and more relevant for the fashion industry. To me it is important that I can take an interest in Bench on a long-term basis.”

Bench, founded in Manchester (UK) in 1987, is currently sold in 26 countries in Europe and North America with its biggest markets being Great Britain, Germany and the licensed business in Canada. The enterprise employs about 400 members of staff and lately registered an annual turnover of more than 100 million Euro, plus approx. 50 million Euro generated by licensing partners.
The brand works with an equity ratio of more than 50%.

Emeram Capital Partners was founded by six parties in 2012 as an association for investments in medium-sized companies within the core markets Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
