Department store Breuninger launched a new shoe area in its Stuttgart flagship on September 14, revealing a new layout concept and various new brands. Across a space of 2,000 sqm, the retailer has stocked styles from over 250 brands including Gucci, Jimmy Choo, Chloé, Dolce & Gabbana, Prada, Prada Rossa, Miu Miu, Tod's, Valentino, Balenciaga and Lanvin as well as from certain designers that were previously not available in Germany. The select shoes are arranged along a transparent display, allowing for maximum visibility over the whole range of goods.

Furthermore, digital information tools provide for speedy availability requests, creating yet another novel service point within the store. Willy Oergel, head of business at Breuninger, said: "With our new shoe world, we have created an unique ambience in Germany and have set new standards. We are delighted that we are able to present our female customer with what is truly a shoe mecca, full of trendy designer labels as well as exclusive, traditional brands."

That's not all; the department store has also taken men into consideration. While female shoppers discover the shoe section, Breuninger invites their male counterparts to relax at their newly designed trend bar, complete with mobile iPad entertainment and indoor sitting step. Another highlight includes the launch of a limited edition Jimmy Choo collection in cooperation with Swarovski. Only 20 pairs are available worldwide and they are offered exclusively at Stuttgart's Breuninger store. Last but not least, from September 6-20, fans can use the Schuhrausch Facebook-App under to take part in an interactive shoe treasure hunt, after having bought a pair of shoes.
