The Bread & Butter organization has announced today that the event will continue as a professional trade show, cancelling the project of letting end customers assist in the fair during its two public days.

Karl-Heinz Müller, director of the Bread and Butter, said: "It remains our aim to offer our exhibitors and the specialist retailer an ideal, contemporary platform for communication and business. Especially following the very successful January event, we are reassured to continue our previous path focused and undeterred."

Bread & Butter’s announcement last December revealing that the fair will allow end customers to attend the event during public days has caused a controversial discussion throughout the industry. The responses ranged from euphoric enthusiasm to total rejection. Many exhibitors maintained that the measure provides them with additional costs and new logistical and organizational challenges.

"Therefore, we meet the wish of the majority of our exhibiting brands and the specialist retail: the planned Public Days are cancelled, Bread & Butter – tradeshow for selected brands remains a professional tradeshow, for industry professionals only." concludes Karl-Heinz Müller.
