Mannheim jeans label Goldgarn Denim is expanding its social commitment and has initiated a new project.  Under the umbrella "Goldgarn Charity" the label wants to further intensify its social and charitable efforts in the future. Kerem Oezcelik, founder of Goldgarn Denim: "We have been thinking sustainable and long-term since the very beginning".

Thus Goldgarn Denim supports the institution 'Aufwind Mannheim' since its foundation in 2016, which supports socially disadvantaged children in Mannheim. For every pair of jeans sold, 1 euro has been donated to the association since the beginning. Only recently, Oezcelik was able to hand over a check for 20,000 Euros.

Goldgarn Denim has just implemented another project in cooperation with Help Me e.V. Ludwigshafen. In August 2020 the production of 13 drinking water wells in Bangladesh was completed. With the wells, about 2,000 people got a guaranteed access to fresh drinking water, Goldgarn Denim is said to say. Further wells are planned. At the same time Goldgarn supports a refugee camp in Mali, West Africa. Here, too, the non-profit organization Help Me e.V. is in charge and continuously supplies about 200 families with fresh drinking water.

From now on one Euro per sold jeans goes to the initiative 'Goldgarn Charity'. Which projects the company will support in the future will depend on the needs and hardships.
