British heritage brand Barbour will launch a new collection with Pantone, leading provider of colour systems. For S/S 2014 there will be a new collection for men, women and kids. Centrepiece of the collection is the classic quilted jacket, which will be available in a wide colour range and will retail at 150 - 220 Euro. The upper button is tone on tone with the jacket and shows both labelings of Barbour and Pantone. To match the jackets there will be three button polo shirts in the same colour palette, costing 70 Euro. Chinos for men will be available in navy and grey shades, as well as green and red at a price of 130 Euro. The collection will also include matching belts and rubber boots for men, women and kids in colourful Pantone shades at a price of 100 Euro. The collection is expected to be in stores from December in Barbour stores and chosen retailers.
“The cooperation with Pantone offers our customers a fantastic colour selection. With Pantone’s unique colour system, we were able to create contemporary products that pay tribute to our past as producers of country-wear,” says Ian Bergin, head of menswear.
Ron Potesky, senior vice president and general manager, Pantone: "We are very proud of this cooperation. The combination of Barbour’s long-lasting history with Pantone’s modern colour language gives us the opportunity to celebrate our 50th birthday adequately.”
