Ispo China, Mar. 4-6, in Beijing closed on an impressive note, with nearly 76% more exhibitors showing this season while the fairgrounds doubled in size to 25,000 sqm to cover five halls at the China International Exhibition Center.

In addition, visitor pre-registration was up. Some 90% more visitors registered for ispo China 2010 over the previous year. Asian and international exhibitors accounted for 210 exhibitors this year, up from last year’s 119, showcasing a total of over 300 brands.

New exhibitors planning to establish themselves in the Asian market included Columbia; Mountain Hardwear; Salewa; the German swimwear fashion company Fashy; Suunto, the Finnish manufacturer of sports watches; and British outdoor brand Regatta.

Other exhibitors presenting their products at the leading trade show for sporting goods, sports fashion, and sports lifestyle in Asia included the outdoor equipment specialists Karrimor, High Rock, Black Diamond, and Edelrid. They also included the ski manufacturers Atomic and Head, the Danish footwear manufacturer Ecco, and the sports apparel company Spyder.

Ispo China 2010 was held concurrently with Alpitec China event, organized by Italian trade fair company Fiera di Bolzano.
