With more than 1.6 million unique visits in August, the online shopping website Brands4friends has surpassed records left by Esprit and other classic fashion-lifestyle giants including H&M and C&A to become the leading site in its category. “Our continuing growth even during the summer months underlines the attractiveness of our 80 hit-and-run merchandising every month,” says Constantin Bisanz, founder and CEO of Brands4friends.de. “Our members are hot to clear the virtual shelves, even if it is 30 degrees outside, sitting on their balcony or being on vacation in Palma de Mallorca,” Bisanz added. In September the site registered on average 223,517 visits per day, approximately five times as many visitors as the biggest German department [store] can count, the company notes. Berlin-based Brands4friends offers exclusively to registered members original brands for up to 70% below the regular retail price. Since launching the site two years ago, the company has over 2 million registered users.
