The British trade fashion event Moda at the NEC Birmingham has announced the addition of several key names to its upcoming show on August 8-10.

New additions to the Moda Woman line-up include Marie Mero, Vera Mont, trouser brand Zaffiri, Barcelona-based brand Diktons, German T-shirt company Lea H, and Jensen Woman.

These brands will show alongside fellow newcomers including the Danish lifestyle brand Jackpot, the top Israeli label Ronen Chen UK, Ilse Jacobsen, Elegance from Germany, and the French brands Devernois, Epicea and Paule Vasseur. Returning to the show will be Finnkarelia, Double Two and Chianti, and Moda regulars Fred Sabatier, James Lakeland, Libra, Presen, Linea Rafaelli, Seasalt, All is Beautiful, Rosner, Unique Woman, Pause Cafe and Lebek.

Over in menswear, American Boy, Weird Fish, Christian Lacroix, Milena and Pierre Clarence will join the platform and be joined by other first-timers, including Jacques Britt, Peckham Rye, Garcon Chic and Marcus.

Returning brands including Gibson London, Florentino, Eterna, Olymp, John Smedley, Robert Graham, Wolsey and Joules and the likes of HJ Hall, Aigle, Benvenuto, Brax, Roy Robson, Camel Active, Caterpillar, Cottonfield, Double Two, Douglas & Grahame, 1… Like No Other, Matinique, Remus Uomo, Magee and Van Heusen.

Levi’s, Ben Sherman, One True Saxon and Mel by Melissa are recent additions to the footwear line-up, which will include debuts by Kickers, Tommy Hilfiger and Geox. The show will also see debuts by Dkode, Victoria Delef, Berkemann, Florsheim and Nagore.

The new brands boost an already strong line-up of names that include the likes of Terra Plana, Xti, Wilfords, Scholl, Start-rite, Rieker, Rocket Dog, Paolo Vandini, Pod, Naturino, Josef Seibel, Hush Puppies, Grinders, Gant, Frank Wright, Caprice, Cheaney, Barker, Birkenstock, Rockport, Softwaves, Garvalin, Bourne, Boxfresh, United Nude, Chinese Laundry, Lelli Kelly, CAT Footwear, Wilfords and Anatomic & Co.

The Accessories sector, meanwhile, will welcome Bulatti, Lido Pearls, Radford Accessories, Arrogance, BiBi, Nashelle and the Spanish label Volum. Regular and returning exhibitors include Suzy Smith, San Diego Hats, Smith & Canova, Passigatti, Mint, Kelevra, Gaby’s, Pia Rossini, Big Metal, Dents, Chartage and Adele Marie.

The popular Moda seminar program will return with a roster of must-see events and workshops for every retailer. The social media expert Chris Middleton will discuss how to use social networking sites. Retail guru Thierry Bayle will return to Moda to dispel the myths of retail failure: whether it’s the economy, the weather or the customers, Bayle will find a way around it. And the ex-Olympic athlete-turned-retail performance specialist Dennis Reid will reveal how to engage your staff to deliver exceptional service while maximizing every sales opportunity. Lingerie expert Gillian Proctor will reveal the secrets to the perfect fit.

Seminars will take place on the Sunday and Monday of the show, while catwalks showing key looks from across the show’s sectors will take place at regular intervals throughout the three days.

The February 2010 edition of Moda played host to over 1,400 brands and attracted more than 12,000 visitors over a three-day period.
