British heritage brand Baracuta, purveyor of the original G-9 Harrington jacket, is expanding into the footwear business. The new collection will be produced under license by Base London and will include vulcanized desert boots, loafers and boots designed to complement the brand’s effortlessly chic jackets, polos, shirts, knitwear and trousers. Said Kevin Stone, marketing director of BMB: “We have evolved the brand from an iconic jacket into a lifestyle collection and now is the right time to add in a footwear line; we believe the team at Base London fully understands the brand’s history and heritage DNA and we look forward to working closely with them on this exciting project." The footwear will make its trade debut at Magic Las Vegas next month.
