Trade show producer Reed Exhibitions will launch a new biannual womenswear show in New York in February.
Called Axis, the event will spotlight four categories–fashion lifestyle, active lifestyle and swim, accessories and intimates, and home and beauty–says show director Vanessa Chiu, who adds that Axis will feature about 200 branded collections.

“Axis is the first trade show of its kind built for a new generation of women,” she adds. “Guided by the same ideas and inspirations that drive its clientele, Axis takes a cross-category approach to merchandising that reflects the eclectic, aspirational way its demographic shops. The result is an experiential event that resonates throughout the fashion industry and serves as a year-round resource for attendees.”

The first edition of Axis will run February 22-24, 2015 next to sister show Capsule Women’s at Pier 94.
Advisors to the new show include Nike’s global concept director Kristin Reiter, founder and model Adrianne Ho, athlete and style icon Kassia Meador, fashion market director Rachel Wang and Capsule Show cofounder Deirdre Maloney.
