Antony Morato has recently signed a distribution agreement as parts of its plans for expanding into Thailand.
Essedi Spa – the owner of the Antony Morato brand – has signed a five-year distribution agreement with Central Robinson Group, one of most important owners of department stores and malls in Thailand. Central Robinson is headed by Sudhitam Chirathivat, owner of Italy’s LaRinascente chain and the Illum department stores in Copenhagen.
The agreement stipulates that 15 Antony Morato stores will open in Thailand by 2017. The first four stores are set to open in 2014. The  new deal comes only a few weeks after another agreement for breaking into the South Korean market.
After implementing these plans, 65 percent of Antony Morato sales will be achieved through exports to over 65 countries as well as increase the label’s visibility in the Far East. Talks are also in progress on expanding into Indonesia, India and China with an agreement anticipated within the first six months of 2014.
The brand presented its product line-up at the Bread&Butter in Berlin in January 2014 and was also on hand for the first time at Pitti Uomo, where it also showcased the photography of Cesare Ciccardinion on what happens backstage at rock concerts in a photo exhibition entitled “Exit to the Stage".
