US iconic denim and fashion brand Guess has celebrated its 35th anniversary at Panorama Berlin, announcing a series of initiatives that will happen throughout 2017.
Within the opening day of the show, Guess gathered clients and aficionados on the 17 January inside the trade show venue and disclosed the special capsule collection “Guess Originals – 1981 Anniversary Capsule”. This new men and women collection was inspired by true vintage items of the brand from the 1980s and 1990s, all displayed at the show and will be sold for spring 2017.
The capsule offers baggy stone washed jeans and bombers embellished with college patch logos and appliqués, oversize vests with fringed letters, oversized tees carrying the brand’s macro-printed logo, as typical for those years. The collection also offers selvedge jeans with destroyed details in dark and light indigo shades and grey drop shoulder sweatshirts to be worn alone or layered over semi-distressed chambray button-down shirts.
For the occasion, the company also announced the revamp of its Marciano brand and of the Guess underwear collection. Alongside with this the brand announced the launch of a new celebrative black and white ad campaign, featuring their latest Guess girl Hailey Baldwin and renowned model Stefano Sala to go live from February 2017.
