From May 7-10, 2014, the Amsterdam Denim Days will host a local version of the denim trade show Kingpins together with a series of denim-related workshops and events for consumers.
The Amsterdam Denim Days are organized by House of Denim in collaboration with trade show Modefabriek, HTNK Fashion Recruitment & Consultancy and the US trade show Kingpins.

On May 7 and 8, the Kingpins show will be showcasing international exhibitors in the fields of denim weaving, washing and manufacturing on the grounds of Westergasfabriek.  The denim trade show was founded in the US in 2004. After shows in New York, Los Angeles and Hong Kong, the Amsterdam show will be a debut for Kingpins.

Subsequently, Wastergasfabriek will be taken over by Blueprint, a two-day program for all sorts of denim lovers organized by Modefabriek. Blueprint will host a platform where brands can share their knowledge with consumers and also offer a pop-up shop and a vintage market. Visitors are invited to take part in workshops, watch denim documentaries, take a look at a denim archive, and view presentations by the Amsterdam Jean School as well as a display of the latest technological developments in sustainable production methods.
The House of Denim will also organize the ‘Towards a Brighter Blue’ presentation on May 9 and 10. Here, international speakers will be sharing their experience and expertise, addressing a cleaner and more sustainable future of denim.

During the Amsterdam Denim Days, there will also be a range of side-events and activities throughout the city of Amsterdam and its many denim stores.

The declared aim of the Amsterdam Denim Days is “to bring together jeans brands, manufacturers, designers, buyers, students, consumers and the press to share a passion for denim, discuss innovation and education and together work towards a more sustainable future.“
