Reborn for Spring/Summer 2014, Adidas’ Stan Smith sneaker style celebrates its return to the streets. Removed from the shelves for the past few seasons, the classic silhouette has since been updated for the modern day.

Debuting as a tennis shoe in 1972, the Stan Smith has made its way from the tennis court to the street, selling over 40 million pairs.

Originally introduced and developed for the French tennis player Robert Haillet in the mid-1960s, the name of Stan Smith was added to the tennis shoe, alongside Haillet’s, at the start of the 70s, before it was designated as the signature sneaker of the American sporting icon in 1972.

Stan Smith will be presented at the launch of two new premium collections for Fall/Winter 2013 that will be exclusively available at Adidas Consortium stores, before the full range of new Stan Smith sneakers are rolled out from January 2014, with a second drop in April 2014.
