VF Corporation is investing in workwear. Yesterday the group announced the acquisition of Texas-based William-Dickie Manufacturing Co.–a family-owned workwear company with a brand portfolio including Dickies, Workrite, Kodiak, Terra and Walls. The transaction is expected to be completed in the last quarter of 2017.
Williamson-Dickie will join VF’s current workwear offer comprising Wrangler, Riggs Workwear, Timberland Pro, Red Kap, Bulwark and Horace Small.
VF’s outlook for 2017 and financial targets for 2021 have been updated to include the impact of the Williamson-Dickie acquisition. Revenue for 2017 is now expected to reach $11.85 billion, which includes an estimated $200 million contribution from Williamson-Dickie. For 2021, VF now expects its revenue to exceed $15 billion. Williamson-Dickie is expected to contribute more than $1 billion of revenue by 2021.
