Today Swedish jeans brand Nudie and New York independent boutique Atrium release their first design collaboration, an exclusive pair of unisex jeans in a limited run of 400 pairs.

Priced at $199 and sold exclusively at Atrium’s two New York outposts (the flagship at 644 Broadway in Manhattan and the recently opened branch at 233 Flatbush Avenue in Brooklyn) as well as its online store (, the jeans model is called The Green Apple. The “Green” part of the name comes from the fact that the pant is constructed from 12.7 oz. organic denim; “Apple” refers to the fact that Atrium is an influential retailer in New York City, a.k.a. The Big Apple.

“We have been in conversations for the last three years about a collaboration that would make sense for the company and Atrium,” says Atrium’s owner, Sam Ben-Avraham. “Due to the passion that Nudie Jeans has about organic material and Atrium's flagship location it made sense to pick green as the preferred color for such a special occasion–hence the name ‘The Green Apple Jean.’”

Constructed in Italy, the almost gray jean is based on Nudie’s five-pocket “Grim Tim” slim fit style and features apple-green embroidery on the back pockets. It is available in a 34” inseam in waist sizes 28-38 or in a 32” inseam in waist sizes 25-38.

Atrium was one of the first stores to carry Nudie Jeans in the US. It began stocking the brand for the spring 2004 season. Since then, Nudie has become, and remains, one of the store’s most consistent bestsellers.
