New York-based designer Adam Lippes has collaborated with Spanish retailer Mango on a men’s and women’s collection due to be released in Mango stores worldwide on Mar. 1.

The former Creative Director of Oscar de la Renta and current CEO and Founder of ADAM, best known for his breezy yet sophisticated interpretations of classic American sportswear, unveiled his two collections on the rooftop of the Gramercy Park Hotel in New York City yesterday.

Under the name of Adam for MANGO, the women’s collection offers sporty items with a ’70s air, including a lightweight trench, flowing dresses with prints and an irregular handmade finish, gradient striped sheaths and high-waisted linen blend trousers.

Adam for HE, meanwhile, features a mix of classic and casual pieces ranging from a Prince of Wales check suit to country club-styled knitwear, soft-handed polos, hoodies and clean-cut shorts. Color ranged from pavement gray and navy to deep yellow, stone and dusty purple.

Previous guest designers for Mango have included Penélope and Mónica Cruz and Milla Jovovich.
