French contemporary fashion brand A.P.C. has opened a new store on Los Angeles’ famous shopping area around Melrose Avenue.

The interior/architectural concept for the new 230 sqm store was developed by A.P.C. founder Jean Touitou and Paris-based architect Laurent Deroo. The shop is laid out in a U-shape and encloses a small piece of land, a little garden that becomes the central point of the building. It is framed by a very large window supported by diagonal wooden columns. The floor is made up of reflecting ceramic bricks and the ceiling height reaches up to six meters. There is a dual entrance from both Melrose Avenue and Melrose Place.

The store houses the full A.P.C. men’s and women’s collection as well as the recently expanded denim collection, accessories and collaboration collections. It will become the Los Angeles flagship to two more A.P.C. sites in the city, downtown and Silver Lake, due to open late 2014.
