Religion Clothing has a new pair of New York pop-up stores.

As part of its plan to boost its profile in the US, the edgy British brand opened two pop-up locations in key locations in downtown Manhattan last Wednesday. The stores–at Openhouse Gallery at 379 Broome Street and 355 Bowery–carry the brand’s spring 2013 men’s and women’s collection and feature gritty environments. Both temporary stores will remain open until Wednesday, July 31.

A citywide fly poster campaign with original artwork coincides with the stores’ arrival.

In addition, Religion previewed its spring 2014 collection at a special late-night event at the McKittrick Hotel, a performance venue on Manhattan’s West Side, last night. That happening was presented in association with the new Liberty Trade Show, which debuted in New York yesterday, and Sleep No More, an immersive live theatrical piece based on Macbeth. Sleep No More is presented by the British theatrical troupe Punchdrunk and has enjoyed a long run at the space.
