The 30th edition of Modefabriek will take place January 23-24. This time, over 600 labels will present their 2011/2012 fall/winter collections at the Amsterdam RAI. In this anniversary year of the biggest fashion tradeshow in the Netherlands, special attention has been paid to high-end fashion. As always, the event will be divided into six sections: ‘Department’ (menswear), ‘Industry’/‘Limited’ (denim & fashion), ‘Authentic’ (fashion classics), ‘Appearance’ (leading labels) and ‘Refined’ (high-end designerwear).

High-end menswear will be given a boost as well: in collaboration with the retail organisation Deco, ‘MF & Deco present’ will once again be offered, presenting a mixture of high-end labels and designer fashion for men.

“Distinctiveness is one of Modefabriek’s key values, the segment in which creativity, uniqueness and innovation play a central role. Since its foundation, Modefabriek has invested in creativity and innovation in terms of the labels’ range, the trade fair experience and special events,” says Lucel van den Hoeven, member of Modefabriek’s management.

The first edition of the semi-annual Modefabriek tradeshow, held in January and July of each year, took place in 1996. It was set up as a result of dissatisfaction with the lack of creativity that characterised the selection of tradeshows offered at the time.
