After a great start to the season in Berlin, Düsseldorf - from July 19th - 22nd - was the place to order for the 2014 Spring/Summer season. The fairs Gallery, Premium, Supreme, Date, as well as the order activities of over 800 showrooms and the fashion houses in the city were organized under one roof at CPD. At the end of the main order days all fair and showroom owners were happy. The order week in Düsseldorf was successful; retailers were in a very good mood and many international visitors came. Düsseldorf is the traditional place for Russian buyers to order and many retailers stayed the whole week.

The third edition of The Gallery Düsseldorf made for smiling faces at the “Botschaft”; 4,000 trade visitors browsed and ordered from 230 collections. An international pool of exhibitors from 18 nations including Kenya and Japan, presented their fashions.

The line-up of side events included the Fashion Blogger Café and an industry get-together, which rounded off the order platform. Project Director Elke Sautter said: “There were yet again many new international collections to be discovered. The renovated facilities of the Gallery were received very well and buyers were enjoying the nice working atmosphere.” Philipp Kronen, Managing Partner of Igedo Company: “This proves that investing in this facility was the right move for us.”

Also Premium registered a good frequency of orders, where approximately 400 Summer 2014 collections were presented over 3000sqm.
At Supreme approximately 400 collections were presented. Founder Alina Schade said: “Retailers and exhibitors were happy with the new organisation of our areas.” The atmosphere in Düsseldorf was realistic. “Berlin is the place for parties, shows and kick-off’s, here in Düsseldorf buyers are making appointments and placing orders for the next season,” explained Stella Ahlers from Ahlers Group Germany. General consensus is that both places are important.

The order week was busy but people also had fun. The weather was excellent. On Friday night, s.Oliver's new line Sir Oliver was introduced during a launch event at Lofthaus Düsseldorf. The new decorated Fashion House had its traditional get together with food, cool drinks and music. On Saturday night Gallery and Supreme celebrated with exhibitors and buyers. Supreme and ACO agency invited 700 guests for a summer party sponsored by Maserati. A highlight was the fashion show with Just Cavalli, Iceberg, Frankie Morello and Pirelli. “It was a fantastic event for Düsseldorf,” said Michael Schulz from ACO Fashion agency. On Sunday night Hall 29 had a Spanish night. “For us it is important that fashion people get closer and meet for a drink and a talk,” said Alina Schade.
