Alpargatas S.A., has appointed Frederic Levy as managing director of its shoe brand Havaianas International. In the newly created position, he will be responsible for all markets outside of Brazil to further advance Havaianas' global expansion, the Brazilian company announced.

Frederic Levy comes from the wine accessories start-up Coravin, where he was CEO. Previously, he served as managing director of Nespresso North America.
"I look forward to leading the global growth of Havaianas and continuing to build the iconic lifestyle brand that carries the spirit of joy and freedom," says Frederic Levy.

Levy will be based in Spain and will report directly to the CEO of Alpargatas, Roberto Funari.
