Brandwatch recently conducted a survey to find the brand most liked by consumers on social media. The social intelligence company analyzed 140 brands from 11 different sectors and the fashion industry was one of them. Twenty representative brands competed to find out how they compared with the rest of the industry. To test this, social media data from January 2018 was gathered in three different categories: The amount of consumer posts that indicated a liking of a certain brand, posts that indicated the desire to buy a specific item and the time and probability of a brand responding to messages. In the separate categories, fashion was the best sector in regards to likeability but struggled to translate this to customer’s purchase intentions.
