Italy’s La Rinascente department store has launched a new On Demand service.
Using it, customers are able to ask for whatever they are seeking specifically and are directed to a dedicated personal shopper working at La Rinascente flagship store in Milan via instant messaging.
The personal shopper will look for the desired product and will keep it aside for the next 24 hours. If the client decides to purchase it he/she will be sent a link through which the payment can be completed via credit card, Paypal or a bank account. Delivery will be immediate if the destination is Milan or, if directed to other cities, in a few days.
The service is currently available via Whatsapp, but soon it will also be attainable via wechat and other instant messaging channels.
The aim of the initiative is to start developing a new tailor-made digital shopping experience that establishes an always more personal and exclusive relationship with the customer.
The service will be available for minimum €60 purchases of all products available in-store (fashion, beauty, accessories, home decor, design, food and exclusively new launched products) whenever shipment conditions permit it. Conditions for the commercial service are presently the same ones as those in-store at the moment of order.
