While it’s still freezing in many parts of the world and the majority probably dreams of hot summer days, the fashion industry is already wrapping its head around the upcoming winter trends. And one thing is for sure: (fake) fur will be the way to go!

We are used to fur lined hoods on winter parkas, as we’ve seen them time and again during fall/winter seasons, on women, as well as on men. But this time the trend goes further than that.

Whether real or faux, that will be left to oneself. But the more striking, the better – whether patchwork pattern in different colors, as presented by Rike Feuerstein or Glaw during Fashion Week Berlin, or heavy, mid-calf length coats that remind of the Russian czar era, as seen at Paul Smith during Men’s Fashion Week Paris.

Topman delivered a more subtle version of the trend, using teddy fur for the lining of their coats and the flap of the XL-pockets. Acne presents a minimalistic teddy fur vest in its f/w 2015-16 collection that gets it special look through XXL-pockets on the front.

Male or female, extravagant or minimalistic, colorful or plain and most important: real or faux? You decide. One thing is for sure, we will see a lot more fur next fall!
