One season ahead of its official involvent in Berlin's fashion trade show landscape (Zalando's takeover of Bread & Butter and its plans to roll out a consumer-involving fashion event for the next winter season were announced last week), Zalando will already debut with an own event during the upcoming July edition of Berlin Fashion Week. In collaboration with the contemporary designer platform and shop Not Just A Label (NJAL), Zalando will host a ‘Fashion House’ in Berlin's former department store Jandorf, home of the Bright trade show for the past few seasons, from July 7th to 10th.

Here, NJAL will offer a selection of workshops, previews and fashion film screenings and exhibit a number of collections by the NJAL represented designers, together with fashion of the Zalando assortment. Fitting the online background of the two organizing parties, a foucs shall be placed on new technologies.
The Fashion House will be open for everyone from industry professionals or fashion students to interested locals or tourists. "In this space, we want to present international fashion talents by combining innovative technology and elements of contemporary fashion. Visitors can experience interactive fashion installations, fashion movies, inspiring talks and fashion by Zalando", said Claudia Reth, VP Fashion Direction at Zalando.
