Zoot Sports, the Californian leader in multisports performance apparel, footwear and wetsuits, is planning to expand the brand in Europe. Following its purchase by K2 Sports at the beginning of the year, the multisports company will be developed by Penzberg, Germany-based K2 Sports Europe, which will be responsible for the brand in Europe.

Founded in Kona, Hawaii in 1983, Zoot Sports focuses on triathlon apparel and has grown to be a premier endurance multisports brand focused on apparel, wetsuits and accessories designed to outfit athletes in every discipline of the sport, be it swimming, biking and running.

Known for its innovation, Zoot is offering new COMPRESSRx compression jerseys and tights and triathlon-specific running footwear; its proven performance apparel and wetsuits are technologically advanced products preferred by several of the world’s top multisport athletes.
Subsequently, with the acquisition of Zoot, K2 enters the endurance sports market. Robert Marcovitch, CEO of K2 Sports, said: “We are excited to welcome Zoot to our family. Zoot is a fast-growing brand whose shared dedication to innovation and quality make them a terrific fit for us and we look forward to their continued growth and expansion into new product categories and geographies.”

Sales manager for Zoot Europe Marcus Voss, formerly of K2 Sports Europe, is in charge of expanding the brand in Europe. Hansjörg Hörmann, previously in charge of Madshus, Atlas and Tubbs for K2 Sports Europe, will assist Voss.
