The World Retail Congress, platform for senior leaders to come together and discuss the major issues and trends affecting the industry, has announced the first finalist for the World Retail Awards 2015, with further finalists to be confirmed by the end of August. Award winners will receive their prizes during a ceremony taking place on September 10, at the Rome Cavalieri hotel in Rome, Italy. As a novelty this year, a new category has been introduced by suggestion of the awards jury: the ‘young retailer entrepreneur of the year’. The aim is to recognize the new retail businesses that have launched in recent years by the next generation of retailers to meet the demands of todays’ consumers.
