The Woolmark Company has launched an e-commerce marketplace on its consumer-facing website,, called Merino Shop. The online tool is powered by ShopStyle and allows consumers to browse wool clothing and accessories from brands like Banana Republic, Neiman Marcus, as well as Topshop and J.Crew amongst others. As an additional service of the website The Woolmark Company provides a transparent production chain, this way, consumers are able to get the story behind the product.

The Woolmark Company has also recently announced the high-profile judges for the International Woolmark Prize 2015. The jury of the men’s award consists of designer Paul Smith, Dylan Jones, editor-in-chief of GQ UK; Tim Blanks, editor-at-large at; and Nick Wooster. The final will be held on 9 January, 2015, in London.

The womenswear award, to be announced in Beijing on 17 March, 2015, will be judged by Victoria Beckham, Angelica Cheung, editor-at-large at Vogue China; Franca Sozzani, editor-in-chief at Vogue Italia, L’Uomo Vogue Italia and; and Colin McDowell, editorial director of Condé Nast and “Goodwill Ambassador for Fashion 4 Development” for the UN.
