Copenhagen's upper streetwear brand Wood Wood continues its strategy of serving its European markets more locally by opening up a new office and showroom in Stockholm by April 1, 2015. From here, Patrik Swärd will be overlooking the Wood Wood operations in Sweden and Finland. Swärd is familiar with the Nordic retail market and has been working for global brands such as Reebok, Adidas and Levi’s.

Simultaneously, Morten Anfinsen of Oslo based Standard Agency has been assigned with the distribution of Wood Wood in Norway.

As the brand is also experiencing an increased demand overseas, Wood Wood has set off its US expansion with installing showrooms in New York City and Los Angeles.
An expansion in Asia is focused via shop-in-shop measures with a local partner.

These steps are part of Wood Wood’s greater expansion plans, initiated by the brand’s new CEO Per Gasseholm. Last season, the company opened an own office and showroom in London plus appointed local distributors for the German-speaking markets and the Benelux region.
“Wood Wood believes in a strong presence in the market, and as part of our growth strategy we wish to support retailers locally while keeping a global outlook”, said Gasseholm.
