White Milano, contemporary fashion event held from 28 February to 2 March 2015 in Milan's Tortona area, closed its last edition presenting f/w 2015/16 collections with a total of 19,250 visitors and +10% more buyers than in February 2014. Italian buyers registered a +13% growth and foreign ones +3% including those from Far East (Japan, China and Korea), but also Europe, especially Switzerland and Germany.

The show was very busy, crowded and lively, while visited by prestigious buyers, according to exhibitors. The show hosted 485 brands including apparel, accessories, glasses and cosmetics occupying an overall space of more than 17,000 sqm.

Among new brands participating in the show, there were for example Collection Privée, who presented a ready-to-wear collection of footwear in collaboration with designer Manuela Arcari, hand-embellished tops by G.Kero and colorful Pyaar scarves.

Most interesting collections were presented in the Inside White area. Among them, the organization prized the Jimi Roos line made up of irregularly embroidered tops, the holographic material sneaker technology, Saucony fashion-minded sneakers, 3-D printed nylon jewels and eyewear by Bijouets, Le Leon fancily decorated knits, and Poshead, a cool bag line carrying odd glass frames as decor elements.

“The great energy that pervaded the Tortona Fashion District at the three locations of White confirms its success already registered in the January 2015 edition and represents a great possibility for Milan to become again a reference point within the international fashion system,” commented Massimiliano Bizzi, founder of the show. “With the new economic strategies started by the government and a favourable exchange rate between US Dollar and Euro we expect to reach significant results. We also hope that more organizers of the events, taking place during Milan Fashion Week, can coordinate and cooperate more.”
