The last edition of Munich Fabric Start held in Munich from 3-5 September 2013 registered successful results. The show was attended by 18,500 trade visitors, 1.6% more than in September 2012 which counted 18,200. The show also registered a record participation of 950 international exhibitors and presented approximately 1,500 collections.

Visitor numbers were also more than satisfactory for the management Wolfgang and Sebastian Klinder. Alongside the large majority of German visitors, this time there was also a significant number of international customers, especially from the BeNeLux countries who used the early date of the fair as a kick-off for the new season, and as a platform to view the latest collections for Autumn/Winter 14/15.

“With its comprehensive and established portfolio Munich Fabric Start is well geared up so that this overall concept will in the future continue to attract growing visitor numbers from abroad. The constant, overall positive response now encourages us to further open up international markets and continue developing our visitor portfolio,” resumes managing director, Sebastian Klinder. The show also registered visits from many international brands including Gucci, Tommy Hilfiger and others, in addition to many renowned German ready-to-wear firms.
