International multilabel retailer Urban Outfitters (UO) is going to commercialize the Levi’s California menswear collection in various European cities this fall/winter 2014. The line was launched in selected US-Levi’s stores and also at clothing retailer Beams in Japan at the beginning of this year.

Honoring its name, the Levi’s California collection is inspired by the US west coast aesthetics and combines casual aspects with a strong vintage influence, appreciable through short-waist cut jackets, a medium wash pair of jeans and also a Navajo-patterned shirt. All collection details are white, including zippers, buttons, seams and rivets. The materials employed into the garments are Pendleton wool, US-produced Umatilla-wool used in shirts and jackets; Byrd cloth, a plain-weaved cotton fabric developed by US army; indigo and further materials like cashmere-wool mixtures, felted wool and roughened twill.

Kris Babet, menswear buyer at UO: ‘The collection is authentic to the core and represents a style that merges naturally the passion for vintage and fashion, that Urban Outfitters fans value so much.’

The California Collection is available at selected UO stores in London (Marble Arch), Antwerp, Berlin, Stockholm and also through e-commerce.
