Japanese retail chain Uniqlo has temporarily closed its heavily frequented flagship store on 311 Oxford Street in London to work on the refurbishment and expansion of the retail spot. Among the novelties, the store will have an entirely new layout, gain two levels –from 3 to 5- and will also showcase high-tech installations and a more innovative design. In order to increase the number of sales floors, Uniqlo’s UK head office has been already moved to Kingsway 1, London.

The London flagship has been closed at the beginning of march and shall be reopened in fall/winter 2015. When the store originally openend in November 2007, it offered the largest Uniqlo sales floor space in the world and led to the growth of the ten stores now in the London area.
