UGG Australia Outerwear (, licensed by David Peyser Sportswear, has named industry veteran Deborah Palan to the post of vice president of sales & merchandising. Palan recently held high-level buying posts at top-tier department stores such as Saks Fifth Avenue and Bloomingdale’s, as well as sales and merchandising positions at major apparel brands, most recently Marina Rinaldi, the plus-size division of Max Mara.

David Peyser Sportswear also recently promoted Leah Rifkin to the post of vice president of UGG Australia Outerwear. Rifkin was formerly with the Weatherproof Garment Company, owned by David Peyser Sportswear.

UGG Australia Outerwear's brand new 650 sq. foot showroom in New York City is located at 530 Seventh Avenue and features wood floors, brushed steel furniture and display fixtures accented by sheepskin rugs, plus views of the city’s West Side.

The UGG Australia Outerwear fall-winter 2005 collection has tripled in size since its 2004 debut. Offerings for women and men include three key categories, including a contemporary collection of luxurious shearling styles; a mselection of sleek leather and suede jackets and coats; and a group of down-filled coats, vests and parkas.
