It's kind of official now! Tevas are fashionable. What was once spotted as a micro trend and worn by fashion nerds who made the normcore style popular – has found its way to the catwalks in Milan and London. Designers like Emporio Armani, Christopher Raeburn, Peter Pilotto, Fausto Puglisi or Fay seem to be in love with the bulky, flat Teva inspired sandals. Style combinations are manifold – whether it’s a deep royal blue A-line dress styled with Tewas like Armani did or a complete sporty look that Tommaso Aquilano and Roberto Rimondi pulled out for their Fay collection show – Teva inspired sandals are undoubtedly THE new highlight sandals for upcoming spring/summer 2015.

Now it is just a matter of taste, whether this footwear trend will really be caught up by the consumer. But since the Birkenstock hype has almost reached its peak this summer – it is time for a change now and the Teva sandals could be the next big thing. I personally hope that this will never happen since I am not a big fan of this footwear style. Let’s see, I used to hate Birkenstocks too, now I own three pairs…
